Saroj Mohan Institute of Technology (SMIT) is a Self Financed Engineering institution runs under the society “Institute of Modern Studies”. It has come to an existence with its Diploma Engineering Division in the year 1999. This was eventually the first self financed Diploma Engineering College in West Bengal. In the year, 2003, SMIT emerged with its Degree Engineering Division. The Management and Technology Division of SMIT is added a new feather in its cap in the year 2012. All these units are under Techno India Group knowledge campus at Guptipara, Hooghly. This unit offers BCA, BBA (H), BBA (Hospital Management) at its UG level. Saroj Mohan Institute of Technology (Management & Technology Division) is affiliated to MAKAUT, WB (Formerly known as West Bengal University of Technology).
